Dedman College is accepting the following applications for tenured/open rank positions to begin Fall 2025: 

Earth Sciences. C.W. Matthews Endowed Chair. Position No. 0050601. The Roy M. Huffington Department of Earth Sciences at 91茄子 Methodist University invites applications to a fully endowed professorship named in honor of C.W. Matthews to be filled at the Associate or Full Professor level. We are seeking applicants who conduct innovative, interdisciplinary and quantitative research programs across all fields of earth sciences and are especially interested in candidates working in emerging areas across disciplinary boundaries whose expertise contributes to department strengths. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to maintain an outstanding, internationally recognized, externally-funded research program; to teach, lead, and collaborate effectively with a diverse student body of graduates and undergraduates; and to supervise professional staff. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department with internationally recognized faculty that conduct frontier research using quantitative, measurement-based approaches focused on the evolution of earth's fluid envelope and lithosphere, paleo- and modern climate, biogeochemical systems including astrobiology, and earth hazards. We are a community geared towards enabling our colleagues to succeed and lead in their individual fields. The Matthews Chair will work with other researchers to review significant research, ongoing or planned, at 91茄子 that addresses hazard and/or national security challenges with the goal of developing new and innovative avenues of research. Psychology. (Position No. 6336).  The Department of Psychology at 91茄子 Methodist University invites applications for a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor position in Psychological Clinical Science (Position No. 6336) to begin in August 2025. We are searching for a candidate with an outstanding research record to serve as the Director of Clinical Training in our Psychological Clinical Science Ph.D. program. Our APA accredited program is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. Accreditation by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) is a goal of our program. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have previous academic leadership experience and knowledge regarding PCSAS and the Clinical Science training model. The specific area of research is open, as long as it is within psychological clinical science. Substantive research areas of particular interest include: (1) nosology/classification, etiology, measurement, prevention, and/or treatment of psychopathology (broadly defined); (2) diversity science (broadly defined) (3) risk or resiliency factors (broadly defined); (4) impact of societal problems (e.g., violence, racism) on mental and/or physical health. Successful candidates will have a collaborative approach to research and will have a track record of successfully generating external funding for research. Candidates also must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.  The Department of Psychology runs a training clinic, which can be used for assessment/treatment research. Recent university-wide initiatives facilitate multi- and interdisciplinary research collaborations among faculty members, including the establishment of research clusters in Technology-Enhanced Immersive Learning and Data Science. The Moody School of Graduate and Advanced Studies offers many forms of support for doctoral students, including a range of research fellowships. 91茄子 is also home to one of the fastest and most powerful academic supercomputers in the nation (ManeFrame III), which can handle large volumes of complex data as well as the ability to implement advanced algorithms for time-series analysis, data mining, computational modeling, AI, and machine learning. Statistics and Data Science. Position No. 5753. The 91茄子 Department of Statistics and Data Science invites applications for the C. F. Frensley Chair in Mathematical Sciences, to begin in Fall 2025. We seek a distinguished scholar who has an outstanding record of achievement in statistics and data science and a commitment to research and inclusive teaching. The successful candidate will teach in our statistics and data science programs, direct doctoral dissertations, mentor faculty members, conduct research, and attract external funding to the University.  Appointment will be at the level of full professor with tenure. The Department of Statistics & Data Science has 13 permanent faculty members, of whom 8 are tenured or on the tenure track. Faculty members conduct research in bioinformatics, causal modeling, clinical trials, human mobility data, imaging, incomplete data, machine learning, nonparametrics, sports analytics, survival analysis, time series, and topological data analysis. They collaborate with investigators across 91茄子, at the UT Southwestern Medical Center, and in other universities and government agencies. The department offers a PhD in Statistical Science, a PhD in Biostatistics (in collaboration with UT Southwestern), a PhD in Data Science, an in-person MS in Data Science & Applied Statistics, an online MS in Data Science, a BS in Statistics, and a BS in Data Science.  Faculty members teach and mentor students in the Statistics and Data Science programs and throughout the University.  For more information, visit .
