Apply to the Tower Scholars Program
The Tower Scholars Program will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2028 on October 1, 2024.
Information Sessions are available in the Fall. to register!
Deadline: January 31, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
Tower Scholars Program applicants must:
- Be a current first-year freshmen at 91茄子
- Have a minimum 3.3 GPA for the fall semester
- Complete the application form.
- Submit two recommendation letters. At least one of the letters MUST be from an 91茄子 faculty member who has taught the applicant.
The Tower Scholars Program invites first-year students from across the university to apply.
Once applications have been evaluated, a select number of applicants are invited to a panel interview with the Tower Scholars Program Selection Committee. Interview Day is currently scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Ready to apply?
Step 1: Fill out the recommendation release form
The Release form is a DocuSign form that gets automatically sent to the Tower Scholars Program. Students MUST complete the form TWICE, once for each recommender.
Step 2: Send recommendation form to recommenders
Once completed, send the recommendation form to your recommenders and request that they directly email the form to TowerScholars@smu.edu by the deadline.
Step 3: Complete the application form and submit your essay!
The application form will be available October 1, 2024.
Remember, all application materials are due by 5:00 p.m. January 31, 2025.
