Triumph of the Spirit Award Celebration
The 2021 Triumph of the Spirit Award Celebration
Thursday, November 18, 2021, 6 to 9 p.m.
The Highland Dallas hotel
In these unprecedented and trying times, we invite you to be a part of moving our community toward hope and kindness. On Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Highland Dallas hotel, join the 91茄子 Human Rights Program as we celebrate with 400 philanthropists, activists and friends our fourth biennial Triumph of the Spirit Award. This year will highlight World Kindness Day with five exceptional honorees from our community whose efforts toward justice and peace are shining examples of their commitment to human rights. There will be a week of celebrating with signs around town where people can be the "I" in KIND, culminating in our celebration.
The 2021 Triumph of the Spirit Award Champions of Kindess include:
-
Jorge Baldor, founder of the Latino Center for Leadership Development, which builds a pipeline of leaders and ideas for the Latino community while raising awareness on issues of racial justice, policy advocacy, education, government and global relations.
-
Jin-Ya Huang, founder of Break Bread, Break Borders, where refugee women are economically empowered by cooking for a living and catering for a cause.
